Travel and Accommodation:
EAC 2018 will be held at the oceanfront Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort, which offers easy access to many luxury attractions including Las Olas Boulevard and downtown Fort Lauderdale. Guests can experience creative cuisine at one of three resort restaurants, sip handcrafted cocktails while relaxing under swaying palm trees, or perk up with a treat from Starbucks.
Complimentary Wi-Fi will be provided in all conference spaces. To access free Wi-Fi in your Marriott hotel room, please sign up for the free Marriott Rewards program and add your member number to your reservation.
Attendees may enjoy a special conference rate of $199 plus tax. Rooms will sell out quickly, so please book online by May 20 at the latest or call 1-954-525-4000 or 1-800-222-6543 to speak to a group reservation agent and ask for the ExamSoft Assessment Conference rate.
Airports & Ground Transportation:
Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is located five miles from the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and offers nonstop service to 140 US cities. Taxi fare between the resort and the airport averages $20, and Uber averages $15 each way.
Miami International Airport (MIA) is 32 miles from the Marriott Resort. Taxi fare costs around $75 each way or $50 for an Uber. While you may find more direct flight options into MIA, keep in mind that the drive to the hotel from MIA could take more than an hour with traffic!
Average high temperatures in June are in the high-80s with lows in the low-70s and relatively high humidity. The entire month of June averages almost 10 inches of rain, so don’t be surprised if it rains one day of the three! In South Florida, rain sometimes comes in fast and departs just as quickly. The meeting rooms could be slightly cool, so you may want to bring a light jacket or sweater to stay comfortable.
Getting around Fort Lauderdale:
Oceanfront restaurants and activities in the Las Olas Beach area are a 20-minute, 1-mile walk down the beach from the resort. The Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi runs parallel to Las Olas Boulevard, giving you scenic access to the popular downtown area. Stop #7 is an eight-minute walk from the Marriott. An all-day pass is $26, or rides after 5 p.m. are $16.
